Figuring out what to do begins with figuring out who you are.

And I’m not talking about career quizzes or cookie-cutter job titles. I believe those days are over. Chances are, your most aligned work doesn’t even exist yet—you’ll have to create it. And that’s actually the good part.

The process isn’t linear or obvious. The path is more like carving out a trail in the jungle.

Take me for example. As a kid, I was 100% sure I was going to be a doctor. But adults interfered, and I ended up in business school instead. I graduated, got a job… and was miserable. I thought I’d be stuck in an office forever, bored and drained.

Fortunately (or not, depending how you look at it 😅), my threshold for misery is low. So I had to look for another way.

Fast forward to today—I’m a coach and yoga teacher. My work is meaningful, my schedule is flexible, and I get to grow and stretch in new ways all the time. None of this would’ve happened if I had stayed where I was unhappy.

So if you’re feeling stuck in your job right now, here’s what I want you to know:
👉 You don’t have to stay there.
👉 Start investigating why you’re unhappy.
👉 If it’s a dead end, make a plan for your exit. Even small steps count.

The right career for you will test you. It will ask you to trust yourself and something bigger than you. It will feel like an adventure, full of twists and turns. And it will be so worth it.

Don’t settle for misery. You can do better than that.
